NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Assistant

We welcome applications from top undergraduate students interested in working with us on wireless and radar research as an NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Assistant.

The NSERC USRA program is meant to nurture your interest and fully develop your potential for a research career in the natural sciences and engineering. The experience is also meant to encourage you to undertake graduate studies in these fields.

Visiting International Research Students

We welcome guest researchers from other universities who would like to collaborate with us on wireless and radar research.

The Visiting International Research Student (VIRS) program provides admission to UBC for international students conducting research full-time at UBC. The VIRS program is managed by Go Global under the Office of the Vice Provost, International.

PhD and MASc Students

We welcome applications from top students who would like to pursue MASc and PhD degrees on wireless and radar research.

Due dates for all Graduate Programs applications (International and Domestic students):

  • June 1st, 2019 for January 2020 start date

  • January 15th, 2020 for September 2020 start date

Postdoctoral Fellows

We welcome applications from top PhD students who would like to pursue wireless and radar research as a postdoctoral fellow.

Postdoctoral fellows may come with their own funding, or may be recipents of an NSERC postdoctoral fellowship, Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship, or a Killam Postdoctoral Fellowship.

For many postdoctoral fellows, the best option is to pursue a joint RSL-industry appointment through a two-year Mitacs Elevate fellowship.
